Brian Strobel
Brian Strobel, a 30-year radio
broadcasting veteran, joined the team of associates at Susan
Carol Associates Public Relations in 2008. He is a well known
and respected “on-air” personality, having served most recently
as the former morning show host with WFLS in Fredericksburg, Va.
He has many years of professional experience in radio sales,
news and special events.
During his tenure with WFLS, he interviewed countless community
leaders and developed a special bond with his listeners that
kept his morning show rated number one in the market.
At Susan Carol Associates (SCA) Brian is providing professional
narration and direction for the public relation’s agency’s new
broadcasting division. The division produces news- format videos
and podcasts for client Web sites. He also is leading focus
group research, special events, speaker coaching, and he
contributes creatively to advertising and promotional strategy.
He was involved in numerous high-profile events while at WFLS,
having dedicated considerable time professionally and personally
in fundraising activities. As chairman of the Salvation Army
Shoe Fund, he led the effort to raise contributions of nearly $1
million for the cause. He also was involved in many other
fundraising efforts, including the Children's Miracle Network
and the Hurricane Katrina Relief effort which raised a half
million dollars in one day.
Brian also has volunteered in his community as a crisis center
counselor, a “big brother,” and a hotline volunteer. He
currently is serving on the Spotsylvania Education Foundation
Board of Directors. In addition, he has made countless public
appearances and speaking engagements for WFLS and other causes.
Brian, who resides with his wife and two sons in Spotsylvania,
Va., received a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse
University in TV/Radio and Advertising.
