E-Marketing
Dos and Don’ts
In
a recent teleseminar, an e-marketing professional noted that Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday are the best days to e-mail prospects. Also,
if your message can be tied to current news, it will be more effective.
The professional pointed out that e-mail is the ultimate one-to-one,
arm-around-the-shoulder medium, and rapport grows if opt-out options
are included. If you’re following up by phone after e-mailing, be
ready to re-send your message on the spot. Expiration dates and
free stuff help propel your message. Questions also help to gain
attention, and clarity is absolutely critical.

Have
You Heard of this Gadget: Pocket Hard Drive?
In May, 2001 pocket
hard drives began circulating. This small device fits into your
hand and can carry the contents of your hard drive. It plugs into
the USB port of most PCs running Windows 98 or later versions that
have 16 MB of storage. Lexus, the luxury automaker, is using the
gadget to deliver information to qualified consumers about its new
line of vehicles, according to Direct Mail News.
Glossary:
Web Services
Web services are
commonly used business processes delivered over the Web, based on
industry wide standards (from Gartner Insight, May 2003).
