FREDERICKSBURG, VA, April 2008—Brian
Strobel Joins Local Public Relations Firm To Expand Research,
Video Production,
Special Events
In an effort to respond to the current economic downturn and its
impact on clients, Susan Carol Associates, a locally based
global PR firm is expanding its team of specialists and adding
to its full- service array of talent and capabilities.
Susan Carol, the founder and chief executive officer said Brian
Strobel, a veteran in local radio broadcasting, has joined the
firm to provide broadcast writing, narration and production
support. “His ability and experience in leading and connecting
with individuals, groups and all types of organizations
positions him well to lead focus group research and plan for
special events,” she said.
Today’s headlines are dominated by the 'R' word—recession. While
pundits disagree on how long this economic downturn will last,
the time has never been better to recession-proof your brand and
market share through more targeted and strategic promotion,
Carol reported.
Susan Carol Associates Public Relations over the years has been
increasing its “new media” capabilities and has recently created
a video production team of which Strobel is an integral member,
to produce news type videos for client web sites. There are
samples on the home pages of http://www.thealtagroup.com and
http://www.nasset.com.
It’s also a good time to step back and evaluate your Web site to
see how it can be more engaging, the PR firm says on its blog at
http://www.scapr.com. “The Web continues to be a prime marketing
tool, but only when sites are dynamic, interactive, and
continually refreshed. More and more, online communities, social
media, and Web 2.0 tools—from blogs to user groups—are key to
promoting customer relationships, building brand awareness, and
reinforcing the perceived value of your products and services.”
Strobel has 30 years of experience, including his many years as
morning show host at WFLS Radio 93.3 in Fredericksburg, Va. He
has a bachelor of Science Degree from Syracuse University in
TV/Radio and Advertising.
He also has worked to raise close to $1 million as chairman of
the Salvation Army Shoe Fund Drive. Over the years at WLFS, he
was also involved with other causes, including the Children’s
Miracle Network, the Alzheimers Association, and Hurricane
Katrina relief.
For Susan Carol Associates, Strobel has provided narration for
national and international clients in the asset finance
industry, and helped develop and lead a local focus group for a
start-up company planning to launch concierge services in
Fredericksburg.
“This is a marvelous way for an organization to obtain valuable
information when they are starting a new business or initiative;
and, it is also useful for a company that wants to stay on top
of its game,” he said.
Carol said she plans to capitalize on Brian’s unique personality
and star power locally. She said the firm will benefit from his
many years in the broadcasting industry and his recognized
voice.
“He joins an already impressive list of professionals and will
fit in our culture which fosters continuous learning and taking
advantage of new technology and communications tools when they
can advance our clients’ brands,” she added. For more
