FREDERICKSBURG, VA, September 25, 2006—Veteran journalist Susan Tremblay has joined Fredericksburg-based Susan Carol Associates (SCAPR) as a team writer.  Ms. Tremblay was a staff reporter for the Free Lance-Star from 1982 until 2004 and for the Knoxville Journal from 1978 until 1982 in her native Tennessee. She also interned at the Jackson Sun, in Jackson, TN.  Ms. Tremblay has a BS degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.  Adept at lucidly discussing matters of local government, health care, religion, business and education, Ms. Tremblay’s specialty remains the well written human interest story.

“Susan Tremblay has a crisp web and print-friendly style of writing that is based on solid reporting,” said Susan Carol, Director of SCAPR.  “Her stories are easy to absorb and colorful, so much so that they evoke real feeling and understanding.  Much of public relations is really just storytelling, and Susan knows what makes a story compelling and memorable.”

Founded in 1989, SCAPR is a full-service consulting public relations firm earning respect internationally in finance, healthcare, technology and telecom markets.  Locally, SCAPR successfully helmed last year’s “Krispy Kreme” campaign in Central Park.

SCAPR is excited and honored to have Ms. Tremblay join their team.  Her articles for SCAPR will feature in web, print and broadcast formats.  Ms. Tremblay is married to Richard, has twin sons who are currently students at University of Virginia, and is servant to Maxine, a spoiled Dachshund.  She is an active part-time volunteer for Rappahannock Big Sisters.
